A December fundraising effort by Adams Tri-Cities Enterprises, the operators of Tri-Cities McDonald's restaurants, brought in more than $125,000 for the Tri-City Union Gospel Mission.
The company, in honor of its 40th anniversary doing business locally, contributed 40 cents from each beverage sold in Tri-City locations Dec. 1-24.
The mission plans to build a new men's facility, and the donation will help the project.
"The Tri-City Union Gospel Mission fills an important need in our community, reaching out and helping the vulnerable population in our community with basic survival needs, and they offer hope and restoration to families and individuals," said Lee Adams, president of Adams Tri-Cities Enterprises, in a news release.
Never miss a local story.
Adams described the fundraiser as "a great way to reinvest in our community."
