A U.S. Bureau of Reclamation employee has life-threatening injuries after falling about 35 feet from the Pinto Dam.
The man was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake following the fall Monday morning, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Officials did not release his name.
The man was working at the dam, east of Ephrata, when he slipped on ice and fell onto concrete, the sheriff’s office said. Paramedics got the man and took him to the hospital.
Washington Labor and Industries will investigate the fall, the sheriff’s office said.
