The Port of Kennewick recently received clean audits from the Washington State Auditor's Office for financial, accountability and legal compliance between Jan. 1, 2010, and Dec. 31, 2012.
This marks the 18th consecutive year the Port of Kennewick has received no audit findings, said Tammy Fine, the port's finance director and auditor, in a statement.
"Here at Port of Kennewick, we recognize that we are stewards of the public's trust and resources, and we strive to uphold the highest level of integrity in all of our operations," said Tim Arntzen, the port's executive director in a statement. "A clean audit is the key to assuring taxpayers that we take these responsibilities seriously, and that taxpayer' funds are being used to benefit the community."
