A 33-year-old woman who was killed Friday morning when she was thrown from a car has been identified as Tina M. Maya of Kennewick.
Maya was a passenger in a 2003 Ford Focus that crashed on Interstate 82 east of Prosser, said the Washington State Patrol. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the car, Mika A. Maya-Adams, 21, of Richland, and passenger Barbara M. Longjaw, 62, of Kennewick, were both taken to Prosser Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately available.
The three woman involved in the single-car crash were all related, said Trooper Pete Cozzitorto.
Never miss a local story.
Maya-Adams lost control of the car just east of Prosser about 7:43 a.m., the state patrol said. A blown tire may be to blame for the wreck.
The car rolled several times and Maya was thrown from the rear passenger seat, the state patrol said. She ended up underneath the car.
