A two-day training is planned Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 19 and 20, in Pasco for those interested in becoming certified in-person assisters. The assisters help people enroll in health coverage through the Washington Health Benefit Exchange.
The enrollment period has started and lasts through March 2014.
Volunteer assisters are needed from Benton, Franklin and Walla Walla counties.
Bilingual skills are a plus but aren’t required. Assisters must pass a background check.
Never miss a local story.
The training is at Community Action Connections, 720 W. Court St., Pasco.
