Several Tri-City businesses are holding food drives to fill the shelves of Second Harvest Tri-Cities, a regional food bank.
Roasters Coffee shops are collecting donations of nonperishable canned/boxed foods (no glass) through Nov. 13. Anyone donating food will receive $1 off any drink.
The coffee shops are at 2525 N. 20th Ave. and 7204 Burden Blvd., both in Pasco; 2000 N. Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick; 496 George Washington Way, Richland; and 4033 W. Van Giesen St., West Richland.
Six downtown Kennewick merchants are also collecting food donations for Second Harvest through Nov. 16.
Their goal is to gather enough nonperishable food to fill a Tri-City Railroad car, which is the equivalent of three truckloads of food.
Participating businesses include Farmer's Exchange, Washington Hardware, Basin Department Store, David's Shoes, Real Deals Home Decor and Key Bank.
