Dan Johnson has narrowed Ivan Howard's lead for a seat on the Kiona-Benton City School Board but remains behind.
Howard had 52 percent approval, or 733 votes, according to tallies posted by the Benton County Auditor's Office just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Johnson had 48 percent, or 675 votes.

Challenger Wade Haun was maintaining a commanding lead with 72 percent approval over board member Dan Raap in the latest tallies.
