A reporter who has written for the New York Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer will talk about the future of journalism at Washington State University Tri-Cities on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Claudia Rowe, who has been a social issues journalist for 20 years, will talk about her experiences in newsrooms and the stories she has covered and the public's changing roles and responsibility regarding the news.
The lecture, called "The New Front Page: 21st Century Journalism and What It Means for You," will be in the East Building Auditorium on WSU Tri-Cities' campus. It begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free.
The event is co-sponsored by WSU Tri-Cities College of Arts and Sciences and nonprofit Humanities Washington.
