Franklin County Emergency Management will be joining millions of people worldwide who will practice how to drop, cover, and hold on at 10:17 a.m. Thursday during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill.
The annual event encourages people from around the world to practice earthquake preparedness.
Emergency management officials are encouraging public and private industry, as well as schools, to participate in this event. This is one of the fundamental ways someone can protect themselves from earthquakes.
