No one was hurt early this morning when a mobile home in Finley caught fire, but the double-wide was destroyed.
A smoker/BBQ too close to the home appears to be to blame for the blaze, according to information from Benton Fire District 1.
Firefighters were called to Kelley’s Estates Mobile Home Park off Highway 397 at 12:01 a.m., said District 1 Capt. Devin Helland.
Twenty-three firefighters from District 1 and the Kennewick Fire Department worked to put out the blaze.
The local chapter of the American Red Cross was called into help the displaced family.
The neighboring mobile home also sustained some heat and smoke damage.
