Scattered showers could be accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly small hail Tuesday afternoon in the Tri-Cities, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance of precipitation after 2 p.m. is 50 percent, according to the weather service.
An upper level disturbance is moving south across the region and will cause varying amounts of rain and, in the mountains, snow, according to the weather service.
“There may be just enough instability to cause stray thunderstorms and small hail this afternoon,” the weather service said in a statement Tuesday.
After Tuesday, skies should be mostly clear through the rest of the work week and into the weekend.
