A Pendleton man charged with murder and attempted murder for separate attacks on two women has been indicted by a Umatilla County grand jury, according to the district attorney's office.
Lukah P. Chang, 23, will be arraigned today in Umatilla County Circuit Court, the district attorney's office said. He is being held at the Umatilla County jail.
Chang -- who went by the name Danny Wu -- is accused of beating a Pendleton woman last month and killing another Pendleton woman in 2012.
Police were searching for Chang after the Aug. 9 attack on Karen Lange, 53, while she took a walk along the Umatilla River. Chang was found hiding in the ceiling of the Pendleton Convention Center on Aug. 28.
