The National Weather Service is increasing its forecast temperatures for the heat wave expected to start this weekend in the Tri-Cities.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of about 107 degrees Tuesday in the Tri-Cities, according to the weather service. Monday and Wednesday are expected to be only a couple of degrees cooler.
The Fourth of July should be hot and sunny, with the temperature dropping to a high of 101.
The heat will start to increase today, with a high of 95 expected. A similar high is forecast Saturday with a slight chance of thundershowers. Sunday the high should be about 97.
