A 50-year-old West Richland man is dead after his vehicle was hit by a car that failed to negotiate a turn Tuesday night on Van Giesen Street, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Steven S. Covert died at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, WSP said.
Natalie M. Lincoln, 33, of West Richland, was driving a Ford Taurus east on Van Giesen about 8 p.m. when she failed to negotiate the turn near Kingston Road and hit two cars, including Covert’s, that were traveling west on Van Giesen, WSP said.
Also hit was Patricia J. Ammonet, 60, of Richland, who was driving a Subaru Outback.
Lincoln and Ammonet were taken to Kadlec, where they were treated and later released.
A passenger in Covert’s car, a 15-year-old boy whose name was not released by WSP, also was taken to Kadlec with unknown injuries. WSP is investigating the cause of the crash.
