A status hearing in the retrial of a Richland nanny accused of causing a 1-year-old boy's fatal injuries was postponed on Thursday until June 27.
Kelli A. Jacobsen's lawyer, Scott Johnson, told Superior Court Judge Vic VanderSchoor on Thursday that he had a couple of motions he wants to file in the case, but didn't have them ready because he was preparing for a civil trial that had been bumped.
After back and forth between the judge, Johnson, and Prosecutor Andy Miller over what days they would be available, they settled on the late June date.
Jacobsen's retrial in the manslaughter death of Ryder Morrison is scheduled for Aug. 5, though Johnson has said that late October or early November is more realistic.

VanderSchoor declared a mistrial on May 10 when a jury couldn't reach a verdict.
