Benton County's top law enforcement officials are scheduled to man the griddles Saturday at a pancake breakfast fundraiser for Safe Harbor Support Center and Kids Haven at the Support Advocacy & Resource Center.
The ninth annual pancake breakfast is 7-11 a.m. at Jefferson Park off George Washington Way in Richland. County Prosecutor Andy Miller, Sheriff Steve Keane and former county Commissioner Leo Bowman are scheduled as pancake chefs. Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg and Richland Police Chief Chris Skinner also have been enlisted to help.
Event sponsors include the Benton-Franklin Mounted Sheriff's Posse, Henry's Restaurant, Red Door Party Rentals, Bennett Rentals, John and Jan Hansens, Frank and Mary Lamb, Tri-City Sign & Barricade and Windermere Real Estate/Tri-Cities.
Kettle corn also will be on sale from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Saturday at the corner of West Clearwater Avenue and Edison Street in Kennewick to benefit Safe Harbor and My Friends Place, the teen shelter it operates.
