A strong cold front sweeping across the Pacific Northwest Friday night and Saturday is predicted to bring strong winds to the Tri-Cities.
A wind advisory has been issued from 2 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday by the National Weather Service.
Tonight should be breezy to start in the Tri-Cities with a southwest wind of 16 to 21 mph.
But the weather will be windier after midnight with sustained speeds of 24 to 29 mph and gusts as high as 38 mph.
Winds Saturday are predicted to be stronger at 30 to 33 mph with gusts as high as 44 mph. Expect blowing dust in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds should decrease after midnight to 15 to 20 mph.
Temperatures will be cooler this weekend. Highs should be in the high 50s and lows in the mid 30s.
