A workshop to gather public input on the design and features of the proposed regional aquatics center planned for Pasco is next week.
It will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kennewick City Hall, 210 W. Sixth Ave.
Officials from Water Technology Inc., the firm selected to create the conceptual design, will facilitate the session, a news release said.
The Tri-Cities Regional Public Facilities District is proposing the aquatics center, which is planned for land off Sandifur Parkway near Road 100. The project is contingent on voters in Richland, Pasco and Kennewick approving a one-tenths of 1 percent sales tax increase to foot the bill.
Never miss a local story.
The tax measure is expected to appear on the ballot later this year.
