Benton County Prosecutor Andy Miller has been selected to help advise the state's next top law enforcer as he prepares to take office.
Miller is one of 29 civic and legal community leaders across the state named to state Attorney General-elect Bob Ferguson's transition committee. Ferguson will be sworn in Jan. 16.
The committee's key priorities will include strategies for addressing gang violence, strengthening the consumer protection division and developing an Environmental Crimes Unit.
Miller, a Democrat who supported Ferguson in his bid for office, will be in Seattle todayfor the first committee meeting.
