KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries is offering a free workshop to employers to go over how to prevent eye injuries.
The workshop will be 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Kennewick L and I office, 4310 W 24th Ave.
Washington state law requires employers to provide emergency washing/eyewash stations and personal protective equipment when there's a chance employees may be exposed to corrosives, strong irritants or toxic chemicals.
The workshop will cover what the law requires, finding the hazards in your workplace, emergency washing equipment basics and more.
Never miss a local story.
Additional workshops are scheduled for 2013. To learn more and to register, see Emergency Washing Workshop or call 1-800-574-2829. Pre-registration is required.
