WENATCHEE -- A Kennewick man was critically injured in a single-car accident Thursday afternoon on Highway 97 near Wenatchee.
His passenger, an 11-year-old boy whose name and hometown were not provided, also was injured.
Kelly J. Stanley, 38, was driving a 1999 Pontiac Montana southbound three miles north of Wenatchee when the van left the road at 1:48 p.m., the Washington State Patrol said.
The van crashed through a fence, struck a boulder, rolled and came to rest on its wheels, troopers said.

Stanley was in critical condition at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee on Thursday night. No information was available about the boy's condition.
