KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick Fire Department Capt. Joe Terpenning will be providing information Monday about the Kennewick Fire Department's Senior Citizen Smoke Detector program.
The meeting is at 10 a.m. at Fire Station #1, 600 S. Auburn St.
Beginning Oct. 18, firefighters will begin changing smoke detector batteries in the homes of senior and disabled citizens.
The department is working with Energizer, which will provide the batteries free of charge as part of its national "Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery" program.
