John Marshall, a photographer from Wenatchee, will present a slideshow on "Fire and Forests, East of the Cascades Divide" at 7 p.m. todayin the Doris Roberts Gallery.
His presentation is part of a monthlong event where the community is invited to read the same book is this month at the Richland Public Library.
The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America by Timothy Egan is this year's Richland Reads Book. The library has 40 copies in print, 20 books on CD and several digital copies.
Several events are planned in conjunction with the book.

On Oct. 18, Janet Oakley will present a lecture on the Civilian Conservation Corps in Washington in 1938-41. More events and opportunities to discuss the book will be scheduled.
