An Energy Northwest employee who stopped at a fatal traffic accident in Nevada has been given the Energy Northwest Chief Executive Officer's Lifesaving Award.
Christopher Laws, a shift technical supervisor, and his wife, Carmen, were driving to Las Vegas from Lake Havasu, Ariz., this summer when they came upon a rolled-over car. Five members of a family were inside, including one person who had died.
The Laws gave first aid and then, with another couple who had stopped, helped rescuers get a grandmother, mother and two young girls into a medical helicopter.
Christopher also called the father to inform him about the accident and where his family would be treated.
Christopher was nominated for the company award by a fellow employee.
