The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is sponsoring an "Out of the Darkness" walk Sunday in Richland's Howard Amon Park to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
Check-in starts at 1 p.m. at Shelter No. 2 off of Lee Boulevard, with a ceremony at 1:45 and the walk at 2 p.m. The event ends at 4 p.m. Dogs are welcome.
People who have lost a loved one to suicide are encouraged to bring up to an 8-by-10-inch photo for a memorial garden.
Another suicide prevention walk, Walkabout to Talk about Suicide Prevention, begins at 11 a.m. today, with registration starting at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the Outback Steakhouse parking lot, 6819 W. Canal Drive, Kennewick.
