Volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, members of other churches and civic groups, and an elementary school will be collecting non-perishable foods for donation to Richland Food bank on Saturday.
They will be picking up the donations from 8 a.m. to noon in Richland and West Richland where fliers have been distributed.
Non-perishable donations also can be taken to the Richland Food Bank at 321 Wellsian Way in Richland, or from 9 to 11 a.m. to drop points at the Richland High School parking lot off Lee Boulevard, and LDS churches at 1321 Jadwin Ave. in Richland or 3701 Watkins Way in West Richland.
Cash donations are appreciated, but they must be mailed to the food bank.
Never miss a local story.
Of every dollar donated, 98 cents goes to buying food and individual needs and two cents is used to pay overhead of the food bank.
