A Veterans Memorial Tribute starts at 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at the City View Cemetery, off Oregon Avenue in Pasco.
The event is sponsored by the American Legion Post No. 34 and No. 115, as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7952 and No. 5785 and the Washington Army National Guard Honor Guard.
The Veterans Memorial Tribute honors Mid-Columbia veterans who never received proper military funeral honors.
"We will include a reading of the veterans' names, a ringing of a bell with a moment of silence after each name and the rendering of military funeral honors," said Pfc. Marco A. Cerda of the Central Washington Honor Guard.
Those being honored are: Robert William Surman, Joe Wayne Wiley, William Orin Goslin Jr., Henry William DeHaven, Marilyn Kay Moore, Laverne Edward Jenkins, Harold Earl Matthews, Paul Howard Winters, Donald L. Smith Sr., Joseph Paul McAloon, Nancy Gilstrap, George Louis Blomberg, William Clyde Brower, Raymond Lee Wilson, Michael Dean Penlick, Anthony Stephen Restivo, Aizo Takagi, Dorothy Rose O'Connor, Raymond Clain Shrives, Edith Muriel Horning, Mark Theodore Kasper, John Geaber Kassahn, Robert Louis Lines, Bryan A Ledger, Robert Alton Toher, Leigh Arthur Whitmey, Angelina Jeanette Thorpe, Charles Henry Henager St., Ray M. Cerda said any families who would like their loved ones added to the list can call him at 545-2267. Discharge documents will be required.
