Twenty-five Mid-Columbia homes will be featured this year during the annual Parade of Homes beginning this weekend.
The five-day event is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 8-9 and Sept. 15-16, and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 12.
Tickets are $10 and are on sale at all Tri-City Sun Marts. The price includes a full-color guide with descriptions of the homes and a map.
This year there also is a free mobile app that includes information on the homes and builders and an interactive map.
Never miss a local story.
And Chefs on Parade will return for its second year on Sept. 13-14. Thirteen of the area's chefs will prepare food and serve samples in 13 Parade home kitchens over two nights. Six homes will be open Thursday and Friday, the remaining seven will be open to the public.
A separate ticket is needed for the chefs event. Tickets are $40 and are available only by calling the Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities at 735-2745.
The chefs event ticket includes a Parade of Homes ticket. Fewer than 75 tickets remain for the Chefs on Parade.
