The Kennewick School District honored several educators and community members this week for their contributions to the district, its schools and students.
Staff members Nikki Amundson, Kristi Tompkins and Bonnie Drollinger were given the Staff Support award. Park Middle School Principal Kevin Pierce was named Administrator of the Year.
Teachers of the Year included Michele Larabee at the elementary level, Natalie Maiuri at the middle school level and Katrina Kutschkau at the high school level. Counselor Patt Salisbury was named Certificated Specialist of the Year.
Teachers Hugo Zavala, Janet Flores, Crystal Ramos and Araceli Bueno, all in the district's elementary bilingual department, were given the Creativity in Curriculum award.
