A 19-year-old man was shot in the lower leg Thursday evening while standing on a street in Toppenish.
Police, who consider the shooting gang-related, said the man told them he didn’t know who shot him.
The man, who is from Toppenish, went to Toppenish Community Hospital with a non-life threatening wound, according to a news release issued by the Toppenish police.
Police said he told them he’d been standing in the 400 block of North Elm Street when he heard a gunshots and realized he’d been shot.

He said that he did not see or hear anything except for the sound of shots being fired, according to the release.
Police say that a white car was seen leaving the area, and that they are investigating the shooting
