Two cars were totaled and another two damaged Wednesday afternoon in a crash at the Snake River bridge on Highway 12 east of Pasco.
Vehicles driven by Ismel Perez Alvarez, 47, and Norma V. Robledo, 31, both of Pasco; and Herbert W. Gardner, 57, of White Rock, B.C., were eastbound and stopped for traffic in a construction zone at the bridge, according to a report from Washington State Patrol.
Cory M. Munson, 29, of Richland, came up behind the group and failed to stop his 2006 Dodge, striking Perez Alvarez's 1994 Nissan, who then ran into Gardner's 2013 Ford, which was shoved into Robledo's 1997 Honda, the state patrol reported.
Munson's and Perez Alvarez's vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene. Gardner's vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 worth of damage and also was towed. Robledo's vehicle suffered about $800 worth of damage and was driven from the accident.

No injuries were reported. The state patrol cited Munson for following too closely.
