U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., will speak during the opening night of the Republican National Convention in Tampa next Monday.
Spokesman Todd Winer said McMorris Rodgers will speak on the subject of "We can do better."
Rodgers, who represents half of Eastern Washington, is GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney's congressional liaison in the House, where she is the highest-ranking Republican woman.
Prior to the convention, McMorris Rodgers will have two "Coffees with Cathy" town hall meetings in Walla Walla and Dayton on Wednesday.
The Walla Walla meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. in the Airport Conference Room at the Port of Walla Walla, 310 A St., followed by the Dayton meeting at the Weinhard Hotel, 235 E. Main St., at 3 p.m.
