Kaille Dunn of Kennewick didn't come back empty-handed from the Miss Washington Pageant.
The 20-year-old received this year's people's choice award at the event in Burien this weekend, netting her a $450 cash prize, and also received a $750 scholarship.
"She did an awesome job. We're real proud of her," said Dot Stewart, executive director for the Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Pageant.
Dunn was one of 22 contestants at the state-level competition that is part of the Miss America Pageant. Mandy Schendel, who qualified for the state pageant by winning the Miss Eastside Pageant, was crowned this year's winner.
