The Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center in Walla Walla is staging a 2K walk and roll event from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in support of employee wellness month.
"Worksite wellness activities enhance employee engagement and contribute to a more productive and healthy workforce," medical center director Brian Westfield said in a news release. "We here at the Walla Walla VAMC are proud to conduct this VA2K event and are committed to ensuring we have a happy and healthy work force here to serve our veteran community."
There is no registration fee for the walk and anyone can participate, but participants are asked to donate an item for a homeless veteran.
The event starts in front of Building 86 on the medical center campus in Walla Walla. Participants can start anytime between 9 and 11:30 a.m.
