HERMISTON -- Hermiston High's assistant principal has received endorsement from an interview committee to serve as the school's principal.
Feedback from a community forum as well as the conclusion of a 13-member interview team overwhelmingly supported Jocelyn Jones as principal.
Her recommendation has been accepted by Interim Superintendent Wade Smith and will become official at the May school board meeting.
She is married to Mark Jones, a former teacher and current principal in Boardman. Kelli, the younger of their two children, graduated from Hermiston High in 2010 and is studying education at Eastern Oregon University.
