Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for the fifth annual Liz Duncan Memorial Run in Richland's Howard Amon Park.
The star athlete at Richland High School and Washington State University died April 21, 2007, on a Seattle sidewalk after a teen driver reportedly lost control, jumped the curb and struck Duncan. She was training for the Chicago Marathon when she was killed.
Proceeds of this year's go to Athletes in Action. Cost to enter the 5K or 10K races is $20, which includes a T-shirt. Those who run the 1-mile event are charged $5. The T-shirt costs $15.
