A Kirkland man was injured about 4:24 p.m. Friday when his SUV collided with a van on Interstate 82 near Zillah, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Patrick S. Halvorson, 43, was eastbound on the freeway, towing an enclosed utility trailer when he approached the milepost 50 onramp.
Sharon B. Quill, 41, of Toppenish, was driving her 2001 Dodge Van onto the freeway when Halvorson lost control of his 2002 Ford Expedition and trailer and struck the van.
The SUV and trailer rolled, then struck a sign and fence. Driving under the influence is being investigated as the cause, the state patrol reported.
