Off with his head. That's what happened to either Siegfield or Roy, one of the concrete landscape lions that Sharon Lute of Kennewick enjoys dressing for the holidays. At Thanksgiving they were turkeys, Mr. and Mrs. Claus at Christmas and for Easter -- bunnies.
"Very cute bunnies," Lute wrote in an email to the Herald. Unfortunately, on Friday night, some vandals removed one of the lion's headdresses.
Lute said there are no eye holes, so there's no way for a person to see out of it.
She's asking for the safe return of the headdress -- her lion misses it.
"The lions are dressed for enjoyment by others. There is no reason to destroy something that brings a smile," she wrote.
