Immigration advocacy group OneAmerica is offering training today in Pasco for volunteers committed to helping lawful permanent residents become citizens.
The group is joining with National Partnership for New Americans to start a program called Become a Citizen Now! to train more than 1,000 citizenship coaches.
The goal is to help naturalize 3,650 citizens, assist almost 13,000 legal permanent residents and contact almost 73,000 people this year.
The event runs 4 to 7 p.m. at 1242 W. Jan St. in Pasco.
