Kennewick High School was locked down for about 20 minutes Tuesday afternoon as administrators and police searched for a student accused of threatening another student at an apartment complex Monday night.
Lorraine Cooper, spokeswoman for the Kennewick School District, said the student, whose identity was not released, was not found but he was emergency expelled as the district and Kennewick Police Department conduct investigations.
The threatened student reported the unsafe behavior to school administrators at 2 p.m., and the school was locked down soon after. The nature of the threat was not disclosed.
Cooper referred any other questions about the incident to Kennewick police.
