The Kennewick City Council has selected new and returning appointees for several city commissions.
Ray Hui will be on the planning commission, replacing Bob Spaulding who had applied for a third four-year term. Spaulding recently served as chairman.
Ben Rutledge and Mark Reed are returning to the Parks and Recreation Commission, and Jack Anderson will join them as a new member, replacing Lane Carrier who sought another term.
Ted Luvaas and Pamela Giordano were reappointed to the Historic Preservation Commission.

Mayor Steve Young and councilmen Bob Olson and Don Britain interviewed the applicants for boards and commissions Feb. 23.
Also Tuesday, the council voted to award a $1.4 million contract to Premier Excavation of Richland for work to be done this summer on Hildebrand and Southridge boulevards.
