A Grandview man was killed Monday morning in Sunnyside when he was thrown from a car after the driver lost control, causing it to roll several times, said the Washington State Patrol.
Alfredo Rivera, 32, died at the scene of the 10:30 a.m. crash at 5672 Van Belle Road, troopers said.
Rivera was a passenger in the 1992 Honda Accord, driven by Rigoberto Rivera, 35, of Granger.
Troopers say Rigoberto Rivera was speeding on Van Belle Road and lost control as he passed a semi. The Honda left the road and rolled several times, causing all three passengers to be thrown out.
Rigoberto Rivera was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition was not immediately known Monday.
A third occupant, Veronica Lopez, 19, was treated for a minor injury at Sunnyside Hospital. Troopers said they didn't know what town she lived in.
All three people in the car were not wearing seat belts, troopers said. The wreck remains under investigation.
