A Pasco trailer was destroyed by fire early Monday at the Arrowhead Campground RV Park, officials said.
Pasco firefighters were called at 12:30 a.m. to the RV park at 3120 N. Commercial Ave., and when they arrived, a fifth-wheel trailer was fully engulfed in flames, said Capt. Dave Hare.
The man living there was already out and fire crews were able to keep the flames contained to the single unit, Hare said.
No one was hurt, but the trailer was destroyed.
Never miss a local story.
Thirteen Pasco firefighters who were on scene were able to quickly contain the blaze. Crews were on the scene for about 90 minutes, Hare said. Investigators are still trying to determine a cause.
Hare did offer a general safety warning to residents to keep an eye on their heating units. Heating-related fires can be an issue during the spring and fall when it's warm during the day but still gets cold a night.
The heaters don't come on during the day because it's so warm, but if the unit is set to automatically turn on, it could become a problem at night if there are items left on the heating units, he said.
