The Department of Energy and its regulators plan a public meeting to discuss priorities for Hanford cleanup in fiscal 2014.
It will be from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Richland Public Library's Gallery Room, 955 Northgate Drive.
The Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Health will give input on budgets and priorities at the meeting. DOE will give an overview of priorities for projects that include ground water cleanup, the tank farms, the vitrification plant, central Hanford and land along the Columbia River.
Congress is considering Hanford's fiscal 2013 budget now as DOE works on a proposal for the fiscal 2014 budget.
Never miss a local story.
The meeting also can be followed on an online webinar. Look for instructions to be posted at hanford.gov under March 15 on the Hanford event calendar.
