KENNEWICK — A Kennewick man was arrested late Wednesday after allegedly stabbing a man walking with the woman the man lives with.
Adam Arrow Weinberger, 50, confronted Rusty Lee Bottoms and Carolyn Merrell when he saw them walking near SunMart at 10th Avenue and Union Street, said Kennewick police Officer Craig Hanson.
Weinberger and Merrell live together on South Morain Street.
Weinberger and Bottoms got into a fight and Bottoms fell down. Weinberger allegedly stabbed Bottoms in the foot with a knife when Bottoms tried to kick him, Hanson said.
Bottoms went to SunMart and employees called 911 around 10:45 p.m. He was treated at Kennewick General Hospital.
Weinberger was tracked down at his home after his car was found parked in a nearby apartment parking lot behind the house.
Detectives with the Criminal Apprehension Team got a warrant to search the home, but officers were able to call Weinberger and arrest him.
Evidence linked to the stabbing and suspected drugs were seized from the house.
Weinberger was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree assault and possessing a controlled substance.
Merrell, 37, was arrested and jailed on a warrant.
