The William O. Douglas chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is sponsoring a 90-minute question-and-answer forum covering topics on Washington's open records and public meeting laws.
The program is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 15 in the Gallery Room at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive.
The event will feature Tim Ford, open government ombudsman for the state Attorney General's Office; Galt Pettett, Richland School District general counsel; and Pasco Mayor Pro Tem Rebecca Francik talking about Washington's public records and open meetings laws.
The program is free and open to the public. Canned food donations will be collected for the Tri-Cities Food Bank.
