The Pasco City Council will consider at its meeting today selling excess sewer capacity to the Port of Walla Walla for its Burbank Business Park.
The port would build the infrastructure to bring the waste to Pasco's system, including a pipe underneath the Snake River.
It would buy sewer capacity and pay regular sewer fees and a 100 percent surcharge on sewer fees for a payment in lieu of taxes.
That payment will not be less than $2,000 per month, according to the proposed agreement.
Port of Walla Walla commissioners already have approved the interlocal agreement.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at city hall, 525 N. Third. Ave.
