PASCO -- A fire Saturday evening left an empty Pasco camper a twisted husk of metal and plastic.
Lt. Ken Meyers, acting Pasco fire captain, said firefighters were called to the blaze in an alley off of South Ninth Avenue at 5:13 p.m. and found the camper fully engulfed in flames, with some flames touching a nearby metal building belonging to HA Rowell Auctioneers.
The fire was extinguished within a couple of minutes, and there was no damage to the building except to a vinyl "For Lease" banner on the side, Meyers said.
The camper's propane tank was off, and there was no electricity connected, he said. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
Meyers said police told him the camper sometimes is used by transients.
