WEST RICHLAND -- A donation account has been created at Gesa Credit Union to benefit the family of a girl who died Thursday after being accidentally hit by her mother's SUV in the credit union's parking lot.
"Our hearts are with the Neiman family," said Christina Lethlean, Gesa president and CEO. "They are well-known to many Gesa employees. This tragedy has touched us deeply."
West Richland police said Thursday that Sydnee Neiman, who was born with a rare heart condition, was hit when her mother thought she was in the car and didn't see her as she was backing up.
Donations can be made at any Gesa branch or by calling 946-1611 to transfer from an existing Gesa account.
