The Kennewick City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to amend an agreement with the Kennewick Public Facilities District to allow bonds issued in 2003 to be refinanced. This would save the district between $300,000 to $860,000, depending on market conditions. Councilman Paul Parish was absent.
The bonds were issued to pay for the construction of the Three Rivers Convention Center.
The council also approved setting a Nov. 1 public hearing to consider vacating a 10-foot irrigation easement at 8707 W. Skagit Ave. in Kennewick. The property is owned by Councilman John Hubbard, who abstained from voting on the issue.
